Barcelona, Spain March 1, 2019 – ANV Global Services Ltd and its Spanish branch will be writing all European Economic Area (EEA) risks on Lloyd's Insurance Company S.A. (Lloyd´s Brussels) from the 1st of March 2019. All UK and Rest of World risks will continue to be placed direct with Lloyd´s Syndicates. Lloyd's Brussels is authorised by the National Bank of Belgium, is fully Solvency II compliance and has the same financial ratings as Lloyd's by the ratings agencies.
ANV has prepared a contingency plan in the event of a “Hard” Brexit by successfully incorporating a licensed insurance agency in Spain which was approved by the Spanish regulator (DGSFP) with passports to intermediate insurance throughout the EEA. ANV will activate this Spanish insurance agency in a hard Brexit scenario to ensure there is no interruption to its business nor its clients.
